Y.G: Finding Family, Strength, and Myself Y.G (16 years old) joined Banati Foundation at a very young age. Initially, she faced a significant legal hurdle regarding a mistake in her birth certificate that prevented her from being recognized as her sister's sibling. Through the persistent efforts of her case manager, the legal papers were corrected, officially recognizing them as sisters—a moment that made her feel her family was finally complete. Educationally, Y.G is currently in her first year of commercial secondary school and attends regularly. She has benefited from various internal and external trainings that taught her independence and the value of financial planning. Beyond academics, she discovered her artistic talents in pottery and crochet, which have given her a sense of pride and creativity. Supported by regular psychological sessions, Y.G has learned to express her feelings and improve her social behavior. For her, the foundation is not just a shelter; it is her whole life where she grows and rediscovers herself every day.
B.S: A Journey of Courage and Hope B.S (18 years old) faced immense challenges from a very young age, having lost both parents and lived on the streets with her mother. After a period of transition, her journey finally led her to Banati Foundation. Upon arrival, she lacked identity documents and had never attended school, feeling completely invisible. The Case Management Department worked tirelessly to reconnect her with her grandparents and, crucially, helped her obtain her national ID card—a document that represents recognition and existence for her. Educationally, she progressed from foundational literacy classes to becoming a first-year preparatory student at El-Qada school. She also discovered her potential through sports and arts, joining the "Distinguished Team" in fitness and participating in yoga, contemporary dance, and acting workshops. Today, B.S is no longer a girl without a name or a place; she has learned to set boundaries, protect her privacy, and dream boldly about her future.
M.M is one of Banati’s girls who began a transformative journey two years ago. After her parents' divorce, she lived in complete isolation and was unable to attend school. The foundation provided her with full educational integration; she started with literacy classes and is now enrolled in primary six at El-Qada community school. Through psychological support, M.M overcame her fear of strangers and developed strong social and communication skills. An intervention plan by the case manager succeeded in reconnecting her with her father after years of silence, and they are now in regular contact. She discovered a passion for sports, becoming a member of the "Distinguished Team" in fitness, and currently assists the coach during Yoga sessions. M.M dreams of becoming a professional Yoga trainer.
A.A Showed great skills and talent, so he received intensive training inside the foundation through private trainer and external training in various clubs where he was chosen to join Zed club. N.G Is the rising musical star of Banati. She was a shy little girl where the Music workshop unleashed talent and art within her. She showed excellence in Violin in the external training, which encouraged our internal instructor to educate her on the basics of musical science, the meaning of Maqam and the differences between oriental and western sounds, and how to read and play musical notes. He also encouraged her to deepen her talent with study where she applied for the Academy of arts and got accepted in the higher institute of Arab Music since the 2022 academic year. Music has changed her from a shy little girl to outgoing and confident woman.
G.R Is one of Banati’s girls residing in the foundation. Health services were provided to her, she was integrated educationally, and she participated in the various activities organized inside and outside the institution. The girl was professionally rehabilitated through her participation in various internal and external training, such as life skills training and training in Carrefour.
